Supply Chain Manager (Mining)

Introduction

Our client, one of SA’s largest Manganese Metal producers, is urgently looking for a Supply Chain Manager to be based in Nelspruit (Mpumalanga Province), to be part of its management team by leading and managing local and international markets by handling the supply chain functions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Meet the procurement requirements against set goals of availability, quality and price
• Management of optimal stock levels of raw materials and store items 
• Lead and manage the supply chain function 
• Management and maintenance of the supply chain information system 
• Development, management and monitoring of the supply chain budget 
• Ensure compliance to all HSEQ, legislation, policies & procedures 
• Leading high-performance teams 
• Effective cost control

Desired Experience & Qualification

• BCom Degree in Logistics Management/ Supply Chain Management
• Minimum of 8 years’ supply chain management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Minimum 5 years in a managerial position
• Experience in logistics, stock management, warehousing and procurement is vital
• Strong financial skills will be beneficial
• SAPICS / CIPS accreditation an added advantage
• Full MS Office suite and ERP experience is required

Package & Remuneration

• Salary: R750K/yr – R800K/yr negotiable
