National IT Manager – Warehousing

Introduction

An international freight forwarder and logistics service provider is looking for an National IT Manager – Warehousing to be based in Edenvale, to Provide continuity of the IT solutions and IT organisation in the region and support the growth of Business Unit Warehouse Solutions

Duties & Responsibilities

• Define and deploy the information plan (applications, infrastructure, organization, and partners) for the region in alignment with the business plans and with the overarching IT strategies 
• Manage the relationship with the stakeholders in the business
• Implement Service Level Agreements and organise key user positions at business side
• Support business development in customer engagements
• Manage the IT organisation of the region and ensure its continuity, with the right (internal) competencies and partner relationships (also manage audits)
• Create an attractive workplace and working climate for IT professionals
• Safeguard the availability of the IT services and solutions, both in running business as well as in new projects
• Ensure that IT solutions are up-to-date and secure according to the IT policies of 
• Manage the IT costs of the region
• Create budgets which are in line with the business plans and IT policies and provide transparency on the actual costs

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Matric or equivalent senior Certificate
• Minimum 5-year experience in managing an IT teams
• BCom degree in Information Technology

Skills

• Excellent communication skills, from board room to IT experts and warehouse employees
• Be a professional and assertive consulting partner for the stakeholders in the business
• Excellent skills as to English (speaking and writing)
• Wide knowledge of the business of warehouse solutions and its typical processes and characteristics.
• Wide knowledge of business applications in supply chain management or logistics
• Implementation experience as to IT projects, both in business applications as well as in systems and networks
• Implementation with warehouse automation and robotization is an addition
