A client, a leading beachfront hotel is looking for a dynamic guest services specialist.
Duties & Responsibilities
Check the foyer and residents lounge as soon as you come on shift and make sure everything is in order there.
Chairs and tables correctly positioned.
Room Service Menu’s available.
Check scentology machine is working and that the brochure stand is full.
Check all flowers are fresh and remove if not.
Check Porters are dressed correctly and their luggage trollies are clean.
Ensure Flags are up if not raining. Check flags are taken down at night.
Make sure music in the lounge and foyer is on.
Walk through Restaurant, help them if need be.
Check emails and online comments.
Check Daily Arrivals for VIP’s or any room drops.
Queue VIP room on Opera if vacant.
Arrange group check in, for any groups arriving Arrange VIP platters. Attend Morning Meeting Check VIP room.
Check emails and respond to online comments.
Walk the floors of the hotel, walk through blue dolphin and restaurant and speak with guests. Check how their stay is going?
Min 2 white glove checks per day. Check welcome station daily.
Plan any upcoming welcome stand events such as Christmas, etc. Liaise with Kitchen and whichever department you need help from for set up on the day.
Assist with check-in and check-out guests
Desired Experience & Qualification
3-5 years Guest Services in Hospitality is a must.
